This year Merano decided to bring up something special for New Year’s Eve.
The party started early in the morning with many different bands playing live music in the heart of Merano: on the promenade, the Piazza Rena and the Piazza Teatro. Funk, Soul, Blues and Pop, there was something for everyone. The Giggers, Lucky 17 and Moe’s Garage, to name a few.
At the start of the evening, you felt the upcoming excitement in the whole city and more and more people started gathering on the streets. Everyone was looking forward for the upcoming New Year 2018.
In the Piazza Teatro DJ Santi Vazquez began his set together with Gaty Vocalist. An open-air club in the city center. Club music made people of every age dance.
They danced to the next particular location, Piazza Terme, where you could show your ice-skating skills while Dj Fill provided the right music.
Also in Piazza Rena were many people dancing to the smashing 90ies songs from the Gary Baldi Bros.
The highlight was, of course, the midnight show.
Spectacular lights and pyrotechnics put Meranos most important monuments in a very special and unique light: the Kurhaus and the Pulverturm. It was simply mesmerizing. Best part about this unique midnight show? The absence of noise and air pollution. #RespectOurPets #MeranoGoesGreen
What cannot be missing for New Years are some good resolutions: To put a smile on every customers face, to fulfill every possible wish and especially to keep always moving forward, because there is always room for improvement and development.
