Power-Woman Elisabeth Hölzl

Designer of three ArtRooms

„My coach said, I run like a girl. I said, if he ran a little faster, he could too.” –Mia Hamm (US-American Soccer-Star)

The 8th of March the whole world celebrates the international women's-day. A day, just to cherish every women around the planet. We thought this would be the perfect moment introduce you our most feminine art rooms, designed by the one and only Elisabeth Hölzl. Elisabeth has had the opportunity to design three different artrooms, and the results were Room Imperial (21) Room Bristol (31) and Penthouse Thermae (41).

The idea and inspiration for all three of her rooms were old and almost forgotten historical buildings in Merano.

The “red room” Imperial brings back to life the 70ies flair of ex-café Westminster (later called café Imperial) on the ground floor, which is now – you got it- our beloved CoffeeArt.
The Art room is full of girly-colors, from red to pink and light rose. Original 70ies Tulip-chairs, red carpet-floor and the light pink heater in the corner make the room every lady’s dream. However, not only, also men find the room enjoyable and love the femininity, which it transmits.

The Prestige Art room Bristol on third floor was design by Elisabeth in memory for the - now demolished - worldwide known grand hotel of the 70ies, Hotel Bristol in Merano. The room contains original furniture from the Bristol like the bedside tables and armchairs in perfect harmony with elements that remind of the breakdown of the Hotel, like the grey cement-wall. Elisabeth used, like in the original Bristol rooms, colors from mint to lavender combined with ultramarine blue.

Penthouse Thermae is designed in memory of the old Thermal Baths of Merano. It is a very bright and sun kissed rooms, in perfect harmony with light pastel colors. The real Highlight in this room is the wonderful and detailed painting of a chandelier and the private Jacuzzi on the balcony. This Art rooms is one of the most loved and requested ones.

We use the international women-day to honor a talented artist, which is to all of us a great inspiration to always follow our dreams, to do what we love and always believe in ourselves. Because we do not measure life in how many breaths you take, but we add up how many moments leave you breathless. – Maya Angelou.

To maintain the subject we highly suggest you to visit the women museum in the heart of Merano.
