imperialart is #artmerano right in the heart of a town. the exterior is characterised by its art nouveau style, like most of the city’s elegant mansions; the interior is made up of 12 unusual rooms, each designed by one of five local artists, each one different from the next. three of the rooms come with their own hot tub. merano’s unique boutiques are reachable in minutes, take a stroll in the arcades and dine out in one of the city’s many restaurants. from almost anywhere in the thermal city the view is truly a marvel, palms, mountains and alpine meadows. all of this, just for you…
reception is open continuously from 08am to 9pm. if you arrive after 9pm, please let us know your exact time of arrival by telephone or in writing so that our night porter at the partner hotel can receive you in good time.
rooms are available from 2.30 pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.
late check outs are possible based on availability and as long as you let us know in advance. the price for a late check-out is EUR 30,00 per hour, in the rooms with private jacuzzi the price is EUR 50,00 per hour. After 3,00 p.m. we calculate the whole price for an additional night.
you can store your luggage free of charge before checking in and after checking out.
By car:
Take the A22 Brenner motorway to Bolzano South, then continue on the MeBo expressway towards Merano. Follow the signs for “Terme,” cross the Post Bridge and enter Corso Libertà. After a few meters, the hotel is on the right-hand side. Short stops for unloading are permitted.
From the north, drive via the Reschen Pass through the Vinschgau Valley.
By train:
Regional train from Bolzano to Merano. From Merano station, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the hotel.
From Bolzano Airport:
Taxi (approx. 35–40 minutes) or bus/taxi to Bolzano train station, then regional train to Merano.
By long-distance bus:
Many connections arrive in Bolzano, some directly in Merano (e.g. Flixbus). From Merano station, it’s about a 10-minute walk or a short taxi ride.
very simple but only for you! As a guest at imperialart you can drive through the pedestrian zone to the hotel.
we need your licence plate number to get the official permission. please comunicate it before your arrival or at check-in. to enter the pedestrian area please follow via roma, cross the post bridge and rena square (piazza rena)
right in front of the hotel there is short-term parking for while you check-in. once you’ve unloaded your luggage, you can leave the car in a garage a few metres away. special rates of 19,00 euros / night for all imperialart guests. (from 5 nights you pay 17,00 / night)
our hotel is located in merano’s pedestrian zone. you may stop briefly in front of the hotel to load and unload your luggage. afterwards, you can conveniently park your car in the merano thermal garage, just 150–200 meters away.

here’s how it is: book directly on our site and you’ll get free access to the merano baths for the duration of your stay. from 15. september - 15. may the saunas are also included, in summer sauna visits are not available, but you'll have to explore the huge outdoor pool and park area and from 26.12 - 06.01 the entrance is limited to 3 hours daily. that will be enough, we promise!
With direct booking, 1 admission per person per night to the Terme Merano is included.

book breakfast here. there’s no breakfast room at imperialart, breakfast is served in our bar on the ground floor where you can pick up a newspaper and have a chat with one of the locals. for something a little bit more intimate, just ask, we also bring breakfast to the room. we just want you to start the day in a delicious way.

Yes, we offer parking facilities with charging options for electric vehicles. The parking fee is €19 per evening. Electricity consumption will be charged separately according to actual usage.
